Mega Millions Jackpot Hits $910 Million After Tuesday's Drawing Yields No Winner

The Mega Millions jackpot has soared to an astonishing $910 million after no ticket matched all six numbers in Tuesday night's drawing, as stated in a news release on the Mega Millions website.

The winning numbers drawn on Tuesday were 3, 5, 6, 44, 61, and the mega ball 25.

The immense prize, which offers a lump-sum cash option of $464.2 million, will be up for grabs in the next drawing on Friday night. The release mentioned that the jackpot is on the brink of reaching $1 billion, a milestone it has crossed four times before, with the most recent occurrence being in January.

Should there be a grand prize winner on Friday, it would become the fifth-largest jackpot in Mega Millions history, trailing behind the record $1.05 billion jackpot won by a ticket sold in Michigan in 2021, according to Mega Millions.

This upcoming drawing on Friday will be the 29th since the jackpot was last won in New York on April 18. Though there were no jackpot winners on Tuesday, two tickets sold in Texas and Maryland matched all five white balls to claim the game's second-tier prize. The Texas ticket, including the optional Megaplier, is worth $4 million, while the Maryland ticket secured the standard $1 million prize, as reported by Mega Millions.

The highest Mega Millions jackpot ever awarded was an extraordinary $1.537 billion prize won in South Carolina in 2018, followed by a $1.348 billion ticket sold in Maine in January.

Remarkably, the Mega Millions drawing for this massive prize takes place just days after a Powerball ticket sold at a convenience store in Los Angeles won a $1.08 billion prize, making it the third-largest Powerball jackpot.
